NOAA's Science On a Sphere®

Hundreds of Earth and space visualizations. From one-variable datasets to movies the SOS catalog has more than 600 entries for you to use. Specially designed to be displayed in spherical projection systems, but still extremely useful as they are based on the equirectangular projection.

NASA's Scientific Visualization Laboratory

NASA's SVS offers thousands of amazing visualizations that cover from space to the oceans. Their datasets often have multiple outputs and formats which makes them a great resource.

The Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem supports users in accessing, viewing, using, downloading, and analyzing data.The Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem is set up to further improve access and exploitation of the EU’s Copernicus satellites data.

The Health Innovation practice at Pachamama Studios BV brings over fifteen years of leadership experience in biomedical research, scientific merit review, and vaccine development to organizations working at the frontier of global health.

We work with funders, research organizations, and vaccine developers on the design, evaluation, and execution of high-impact health innovation programs, from portfolio strategy and program architecture to scientific review and AI-enabled research decisions.

After working several years as Visualization Lead for NOAA's Science On a Sphere program, Juan Pablo Hurtado founded Pachamama Studios B.V. in 2025. This was a response to the abrupt change at NOAA and to fill the science communication void left by this unprecedented change. We believe climate change and the lack of clear and engaging science education around it is one of the biggest challenges that humanity faces currently.

In September 2025, Dr. Patricia A. Gonzales Hurtado joined Pachamama Studios to lead a new Health Innovation practice. A biomedical scientist with fifteen years of leadership inside US federal health agencies, most recently as a Portfolio Lead at ARPA-H, Patricia extends the studio's commitment to science in service of humanity into the domain of global health R&D and pandemic preparedness. Together, the two practices reflect the studio's founding conviction that science, at its best, serves people.

Our name and logo are a representation of the culture and values of our company. Pachamama is quechua for Mother Earth, our provider, guardian, and teacher. We used a GOES East image to represent her: always at the center of everything. This image was captured the day our company was founded. The Chacana or Andean Cross represent the dualities in our world that still come together as one while providing space for diversity and harmony. The images inside the Chacana cover from the "surface of the Sun, to the depths of the Ocean" representing the breath of our work.
